Back On Track
Its been a long time since my last post. Was working on a project. Took me a month to figure out what exactly I wanted to do. Then working on that idea and creating just the basic framework ate away two more precious weeks. And finally when I was upto something...........I see myself getting absurd solutions. What a vaccation it has been! But I guess it is always exciting to work upon original ideas.
More interestingly, there shall be a mathematical project and modelling competition(not the one in which they show off their clothings or the absence there of) coming up for Classes 8th & 9th in the month of August. I was thinking it would be great if we could get some nice projects(more preferably working models) from this event for display and presentation on the day one of Mathematical Crusade.
If anyone is interested in attending lecture by Dr. Tripathi then please do leave some comment- that would at least give me an idea. I need to first convince Jonkai Ma'm, of course, but for that I need some good statistics - response from your side.
Another thing is that I have got two nice graph plotters with me(now please don't expect them to be even anywhere close to Mathematica and stuff- but they have some utility value i guess- it allows you to play around with functions, derivatives, slopes, 3D graphs, and so on). I was thinking if we could get them on this blog. Rasagy is there any scope for this??? Please do let me know.
I am sorry for not being able to upload the questions & solutions of the two events that have been organised till now. I shall try to do it as soon as I finish off with my exams in July.
The certificates for the teams that won in the Sudoku & mathematical Puzzle Solving Contest shall be given out in July as well. The final round of quiz for Class 10th is also scheduled for next month.

(MIT has started an OpenCourseWare programme - that is just a way of saying it has uploaded video lectures, notes & few books on various courses in Mathematics offered at the institute- you would really get to know the reason why MIT is a brand that's a class apart & why it has so many Nobel Laureates in its faculty- the way of teaching is so much fun and beautiful out there- no doubt they produce the best in pure and applied sciences).
Best of luck to the Mathematical Society for the packed heavy schedule next month.

Nice to see ya back.
I have found a graph plotter too (Ok it is small - simple but nice)
Just mail me the installation file of your plotters and I'll compare an upload the best one.
And yeah, I have also been talking to a person from the Autograph team - He is willing to do a demo in our school (He know Jonaki ma'm - thats why!). And obviously we all would like to have Dr. Tripathi's lecture (Yeah even I want to be there!!;)
As for the events, we'll get back in shape after our exams!
All The Best for the coming days!
;)
Hey
good to see u ppl bak, and soon u'll be joining schools. so all the best for ur activities and exams.
It'll be great if we upload some plotters and calculators which are more advanced than the normal windows one.. and it doesnt matter f it can be compared to mathematica or not,. MAthematica is a diff software and requires some sort of syntax. and its better to hav calcs where we feen the input n it just shows the result..
I've been using this graph plotter since class 11th. Its names "graphcalc". just do a google search and u'll get the link to download it and its very small in size.
If u know bout any other calcs do provide info and upload it..
ALL THE BEST
